City of Bones

This series i'm reading right now, the first book is called, "The City of Bones" and it made me SO. ANGRY. Now let me tell you why...
****MAJOR SPOILERS!****
So in this book, the main character's name is Clary (short for Clarissa) and she's described as red hair, thin, freckles.. cute & innocent.
This whole series is about the magical world;
Shadowhunters, Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Warlocks, Demons Silent Brothers, The Clave, etc.
So Clary finds out in the book that she's really a Shadowhunter, since her mother was one too, and she's been kidnapped (the mother, not Clary) so Clary goes with a Shadowhunter, (JACE) who is convinced that that is indeed, what she is.
Once she's settled at the institute with all the other shadowhunters, she soon discovers her long lost dad, Valentine, the evil guy who's attempting to ruin all humanity, and take over the mortal instruments...
So she's not too happy.
Anyways, Clary has this best friend, Simon
Simon's described as that geeky little hot kid, the one we all love ;)
Then there's Clary's new friend, Jace.
Cheekbones of Johnny Depp, blond hair, eyes of amazing, the typical hottie.
Simon loves Clary. Clary doesn't realize it. Clary's in love with Jace, and vice versa.
They even get a lil' close, if you know whatimean. *kisskiss*

So later in the book, THIS IS THE PART THAT MAKES ME ANGRY;
jace & clary? All lovey dovey, *kisskiss* ?
THEY'RE SIBLINGS. SISTER AND BROTHER. BRO & SIS. RELATED!
EW. Whaaaaaaat the hellllllll.
that made me so angry. they were like MEANT for eachother... yet, are related. EW. WHAT IS THIS.
the author screwed up on their part. that was a TERRIBLE twist.
sure finding out that SIMON and Clary were siblings, not so terrible.
BUT THEY'RE IN LOVE WITH EACHOTHER. its revolting. and made me quite frustrated.
So then later, Simon declares his love for Clary, and they start... "dating" sorta. And Jace and Clary ignore their feelings for each other, and stop talking.
Until they visit the Faerie Queen, who has put a curse on Clary, and in order for Clary to be released, she needs a kiss.
So Simon's all, OK. and kisses her..
nothing happens.
Then the queen explains that the Kiss needs to be from the person that she desires the kiss from the most.
Jace.
EW.
So Jace kisses her... not just kisses her, but KISSES her.
and she's released.
Again, confused about how wrong their love is.
OMG OMG OMG OMG what a sick story! Honestly, i didn't even want to read the second and third book.
But then I decided, hay, maybe its a trick, and they'll find out that they're NOT sibs,
so I read the second one. AND HEY, they're STILL siblings in love.
Then I started the third one, and nothing yet.
It's still sick and twisted. Sorry, but that twist, totally turned me off of that book.

Sure the storyline is good and all, and the whole idea of the place they're in, and Valentine is cool and such..
but that TWIST. just made it so... BAD.
Ugh.

Wonderland Update #2!

Um...so aren't these fantastic? I honestly, want them all. & if I have to take down a few movie titles to fit them in my room, so be it. Do you not just, WANT THESE?

I went camping, up at Alice Lake. With my mum, sibs, and Anne-Margaret & Tabatha. Family friends. Alice Lake was nice...cept for the raining pine trees. Pine trees fell from the sky, and rained all over everything. Was kinda gross.
Oh, and mum witnessed Inchworm Suicide.
She was sittin' in her chair, and watched an inchworm plummet from the top of a tree, and splat on the ground. She thought it was dead, until it got up, and just kept going. Stupid little thing xD
Anyways. Was an ok trip. Not much to do. It was wake up, eat, lake, eat, lake, eat, lake, sleep. :P
But, while I was gone, I did manage to watch a few new movies!

2. Bedtime Stories
3. Date Movie
Zohan was funny. Little inappropriate, although quite entertaining :D
Bedtime Stories rocked. Loved it. :)
Date Movie was absolutely stupid. I expected it to be, yes, but this was beyond stupid. It wasn't even good.. like scary movie, that was good. Stupid, but good.
Date Movie didn't even make me laugh..

Anyways. I've been thinkn'... that I wanna do like a photoshoot thing. Sorta like what me, Bella & Steph did.
But with like, me, izzy, nic, cee, zee, & steph :D and if nathalie is recovered.. her too.
I wanna put up a big white sheet and everything.
It would be so much fun. We could have some kind of theme.
Of course, I think it should be "Wonderland" but who knows who else would be into that..

SPEAKING OF WONDERLAND. I went to the langley theatre yesterday; Collosus.
And I asked them if they gave away their posters, and you know what they said?
YAH.
Well, actually, they said sometimes they give them back to their distributors, but if I came back closer to the time that the movie comes out, then yah, i can have it :D
So that made my day, and i'm thinking of going back and getting the Public Enemies one again =3

*sigh*

now i have to go camping again on monday D:
another whole week without me friends :(

OH Nats, she had her surgery.
and i bought her a gift :) A Dollie and a Film, and a story... if i ever get around to finishing it xD
Its all about Queen Ashlinn, and the ordinairy peasants, Natalina, and Cassia who attempt to escape her evil grasps. Ahkno... genious.

So yah, this post has no reason. Just that Life sucks, and I won't be able to see her till like.. next month. WHATS UP WITH THAT. we hardly hung out at school, and now we hardly hang out during the summer..
Actually, if i'm not mistaken, i'm pretty freakin' sure we've only hung out TWICE this whole summer! Once at her bonfire thingy, and another at Year One.
Which totally doesn't count, cuz the movie was crap, and it doesn't really require "hanging out" it was more like... watch a lame movie, and throw chocolate covered almonds at the screen :)
OH, and bug the silly store clerk at Safeway.. Mark was it? Don't remember. but he was cool.
Anywho, so nats has this like, surgery, on the 30th, or 31st.. i think, and its for her jaw, and they have to break it and sew it back together or something xD

I FEEL BAD FO' HER. so i was like, Nats, i'm gonna go to Build-a-Bear and build you a wicked bear that has a larynx and is all "i wuuuuv youuu natawee" but i found out that Build-a-Bear is SUPAH expensive, and there's no way i could salvage that much money, because i'm a broke lady.
So I think i'll just make her a supah wicked something else.. not a scrapbook thing. Because that's lame.

Zooey Deschanel

I've recently decided that I'm a big fan of Zooey Deschanel. :) The last movie I saw her in? Yesman. Which I found mildly disturbing for the fact
that Jim Carey is a million years older than her, & they like made-out and stuff. Ewies :( How old is Jim Carey anyways? Not sure. *Note; Find out how old Jim Carey is. So anyways, I thought she was really pretty :) HER EYES, are amazing. And they make me super jealous. I also loved her in "The Happening" which by the way psychologically disturbed me for life, even though I can't stop watching it :D Yeknow, the part where the guy turns on the tractor, and lays down in front of it while it comes towards him and finally--- okay. enough. I can't even write about it, it was so disgustingly brutal. And life scarring. D:
People said that movie sucked... but I though it was great!. Wasn't Zooey also the girl that played in Elf? The one that fell in love with Will Ferrell? *goes to google it*yup. Looks like that's her.
Loved that movie too :) Besides her eyes, she's just one of those actress's that you can tell are going to go really far. She's super rad, love her acting. I think my favorite movie with her in it was "The Happening"... although Yesman made me laugh a whole lot, and i've seen it way to many times for my own good. Not as many times as Sweeney Todd, granted, but like...6 times. & I'd watch it again. :)

She's in that new one that I really want to see; 500 days of Summer.
I would like to see that one in theaters. Once I see it, i'll write a mini-review for all you peoples :) Although i'm sure no one reads them anyways :P It's really for my own entertainement. So I can practice my writing :)
But yeah, right, Zooey.
I was just looking up some pictures of her, and she has some super wicked style too. All the style that I seem interested in, is either identically identical, or extremely different. Zooey's got a pretty different type of style, most definitely not like Helena Bonham Carter. She's really soft, and not bright with tons of colors, yeknow?

The Hillywood Show

The Hillywood Show is this show i've discovered about last year, and the only reason I found it, was because they spoof Johnny Depp Movies. Well recently, they took a break from JD and did a spoof of the Dark Knight. Which, it was fantastic by the way.
I was totally blown out of my mind with extreme jealousy when I saw their costumes and set! It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Honestly, best parody of anything that i've ever seen before. I really hope these girls get far.
Oh yah, their names are; Hannah & Hilly Hindi. They're sisters, and they've been at it for awhile.
Like I said, their costumes were out of this world... it's hard to put into words how rad it was, so here are a couple pictures. The first picture, is going to be Hilly as the Joker, side by side with Heath as the Joker. To prove how amazing their costumes are.
The second set of pictures will be Hannah as Harley Quinn, and a photo of what Harley Quinn is supposed to look like. It will literally shock you, to how well they've matched their characters. So cool.... :

Anywhoo, these two have grown to be prettty popular, and i really hope that they'll get to where they want to be, because they certainly deserve it.
This is Hilly, the one who plays the Joker, and in all the other episodes, she's the one who play Cptn Jack Sparrow ;) OHYA, and Sweeney Todd.This is Hannah, she's the one that played Harley Quinn, and in all the other one's she plays Will Turner. Oh, and Mrs Lovett :)
In their episodes, its usually only them who star in it, and they dress up as multiple characters, for example, Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Star Wars Characters, Beetlejuice, Morton Rainey, and the list goes on.
They typically make parodies of the Johnny Depp movies, but the car they use in those episodes is unavailable at the moment, due to the driver fighting the war in Iraq, so they've been occupying themselves with different parodies for the moment (i.e Twilight, Dark Knight) but we're all hoping to see Jack & Will back up there soon, and continuing their adventure where they left off.

And if none of you have ever even heard of these films, let alone this woman... then why are you reading this? GET TO A BLOCKBUSTER AND RENT THEM MOVIES! :) Or you could like, invest and buy em' at HMV, and watch em' over and over and over again ;)

My Film Life...

Okay lately, i've been seeing lots of films...like 4 in theater's in the past week, and a couple rented ones. Thought i'd let you know how each one is...which ones to see in theaters, which ones to wait for...and which ones scared me permanently o_O
So the first Film i've seen in theaters in the past week, was
1. YEAR ONE
Starring; Jack Black, Michael Cera.

My Rating; 1.5/5
IT SUCKED. If you're going to watch this film, i suggest you wait until it comes out on video, because this one is definitely a home movie. Though for those of you who still haven't seen it, i don't think that will be an issue.. since i'm pretty sure it's not in theaters anymore. I went with a few friends, and we were quite tempted to get up and leave. (Though we didn't, because we really had nothing better to do) So yes, this film, terrible. Don't see it. You'll be wasting your time.
2. TRANSFORMERS
Starring; Shia Labeouf, Megan Fox

My Rating; 5/5
THIS FILM WAS AWESOME. Most definitely a theater movie. If you haven't seen this in theaters... your loss. Because there's no screen like the big screen ;) Before I saw this movie, a lot of people told me it was really bad... and that it had no storyline. Well are you watching the same movie? Because yeah it had a storyline!!! It was all about the Prime's, that hid the secret weapon, and the evil decepticon was going to turn our sun off, and the only one that could beat him was a Prime. DUH. It was amazing. Most defs a good series, this is going on my "must buy" list.
3. HARRY POTTER
Starring; Daniel Radcliffe , Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Tom Felton

My Rating; 3/5
This Film did NOT live up to its expectations. Yes it was good.. but the book was far better. And all you Harry Potter fans who are hating on my opinion, well...there was NO action in this movie. And usually the movies are amazing, and this director had a lot on his hands with this book, which in my opinion, is one of the best. He just didn't do that great of a job. Honestly, this is a rental movie. Don't get me wrong, i love love love Harry Potter :D But this was one of the worst movies by far. More Romance, hardly any action. It was a dissapointement compared to the rest of the films. Like in some cases, the films were FAR better than the books! Okay, maybe that's only in one case; Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Don't deny it, that book was B-O-R-I-N-G Boring! But the movie? One of my favorites! So yes. Harry potter sucked a little.
But ladies and gents? My favorite parts? Snape & Bellatrix ;) <3
LOVE THESE TWO. best part of the film ;)
4. PUBLIC ENEMIES
Starring; Johnny Depp!, Marion Cotillard

My Rating; 5/5 !
DUHR I GIVE THIS FILM A 5/5 ITS JOHNNY DEPP !<3<3<3 It was amazing, and a total "SHOOTEMUP film" oh, and now i'm totally in love with the song "bye bye blackbird". AND JOHNNY... WAS EXCEPTIONALLY GORGEOUS in this film ;) Go see it. Now. I command you. :D
5. PUSH
Starring; Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle

My Rating; 4.5/5
This movie was exceptionally awesome :D Lots of people said the plot was hard to follow.. but i think you guys are all just slow. Because the plot was quite simple really. The only things that were a bit tough to get used to were the codenames for all the different type of people they had. (Pushers, Bleeders, Movers etc.) The director did a great job with this film, and it is also most definitely on my "to buy" list. If i had had the chance to see this film in theaters, I would have, because that was for sure, a theater movie.
6. CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC
Starring; Isla Fisher, Hugh Dancy, Krysten Ritter

My Rating; 3.5/5
This movie was extremely, over the top.... CHEEZY. For sure a movie night with some friends :P
I loved it, it wasn't as good as the book, (As most films aren't) but it was still a pretty good one.
The cheeziness of the film was so overtop, that it made me giggle a few times. Like in a certain scene when she starts being persuaded by a manican to buy a scarf. Very odd. But you should rent this with a few friends, and make some popcorn :)
7. KNOWING
Starring; Nicolas Cage, Chandler Canterbury, Rose Byrne, Lara Robinson

My Rating; 5/5
This was a scary movie D: Definitely not a movie i'd show to a little child. The beginning is amazing, and the second you start watching this movie, and are introduced to Lucinda Embry, you know that this is going to be a good film. Although, what Nicolas Cage film isn't amazing?
This movie makes you think, makes you think about what kind of stuff really is out there, and if the end of the world ever will come. Makes your perspective on the world a little different. It says that this is an action/drama movie. But i'd say that it's a Psychological Thriller. The way it shows things... I wish i could've seen this movie in theaters. Although i'm not too fond of the effect of this movie, i still loved it, and it's on my "must buy" list. Good Film, go watch it :)
